RendeverFit®
RendeverFit® is a virtual exercise platform that allows residents to cycle, play ping pong, and paint all from the comfort of a chair!
How to Use RendeverFit®:
Understanding Your Headset
- Always make sure your Pico 4 Ultra headset is fully charged before a session is going to be ran by plugging in the included USB-C charging cord into the charging port.

- Power on the headset by holding down Power button on the side of the headset, and the home button on the controllers till the controllers vibrate

- Adjust the headset strap as needed, make sure it's nice and snug for the session!

Connect your Headset to Wi-Fi
- Once your headset is on, you will be in the porch environment, and will see a message that your device must get connected to Wi-Fi
- Click in the thumbstick on your controller 5 times quickly to get to the Settings screen
- Select Wi-Fi settings once in Settings by pointing your controller(you will see a laser pointer coming from it) and then clicking the trigger button
- Find your network from the list, then select it
- Use the virtual keyboard to enter your password
- Press connect and wait for the Connected (or green check mark) to appear
- Turn the headset off then on again once connected, and you will no longer see the connection necessary messaging on the porch
Understanding Your Cycle
- Each one of your headsets will be paired to a cycle that can be used to move inside the Cycle experience.
- Each cycle will be labeled with a color to let you know which headset it is paired with.

- The module at the front of the cycle will display information when it is powered and is being cycled. None of this information is needed for RendeverFit®
- To replace the batteries to the Cycle, remove the monitor and insert two AAA batteries into the casing
Creating and Managing Profiles in RendeverFit®
In RendeverFit®, each user can have a unique profile that stores their avatar and session statistics. These profiles enhance the user experience by providing personalized avatars and track progress across sessions. This feature allows you to see all the exercise history of your residents, just as long as you have assigned them their own profile before each session.
How to Use the Creating and Managing Profiles Feature
Step 1: Setting Up Profiles
- Open RendeverFit® : On your tablet, tap the Rendever Fit application from the home screen.
- Select “Who’s Joining”: When the application loads, you’ll be asked, “Who’s Joining?” You can select an existing profile or create a new one.

- View All Profiles: If you have pre-created profiles, tap “View All Profiles” to see the available users.
- Add a New Profile: If a new user is joining, tap View All Profiles then Add New Profile to begin creating their avatar.
Step 2: Creating an Avatar
- Customize Appearance:

- Eyes: Choose eye color and glasses style (with options to customize the frame color).

- Hair: Select from various hairstyles and colors, including options for facial hair.

- Clothes: Customize the user’s outfit by selecting different shirts, pants, and shoes.

- Body Type: Choose a body type and skin color to best represent the user.

- Eyes: Choose eye color and glasses style (with options to customize the frame color).
- Name the Avatar: After customizing the avatar, give it a name. This makes it easier to find the profile in future sessions.

Step 3: Managing Profiles and Tracking Progress
- Saving the Profile: Once a profile is created, it is saved for future use, and the stats from each session will be automatically updated in that profile.
- View Profile Statistics: Click the Stats button on any profile, in the View All Profiles screen to view specific statistics related to that user’s sessions, including:

- Highlighted Statistics: Key performance stats from all sessions.

- Scoreboard: The user’s placement among other participants.
- Session Log: Detailed logs of each session, including the date and performance.

Selecting and Starting an Experience
Step 1: Select Participant Profiles
- Open Rendever Fit: On your tablet, tap the Rendever Fit application from the home screen.
- Who’s Joining?: After launching the application, select the participant profiles for the session. You can choose pre-created profiles or add new ones.
Step 2: Selecting an Experience
- Select an Experience: Once all participant profiles have been selected, tap the Select an Experience button to choose an activity.
- Choose Your Activity: Rendever Fit offers three experiences:
- Cycle: Cycle through virtual environments, while popping balloons. Perfect for hand eye coordination and a great workout.
- Make sure you have your cycle ready for this activity!
- Paddle: Hit balls into targets using ping pong paddles. Score points and compete. Even get onto the score leaderboard!
- Paint: Enjoy a creative painting activity in VR. Relax with vibrant brush strokes, or create a masterpiece.

RendeverFit® Cycle
Cycle provides a fun and engaging way for users to exercise in virtual environments. Users can cycle through environments while popping balloons using the included controllers. With several race modes and tension control options, users can enjoy a customized experience that suits their physical abilities and cognitive engagement.
Before you begin, make sure your participants are in a chair, with the headset they will be using and the paired cycle distanced far enough from the chair that they can cycle comfortably.
How to Use RendeverFit® Cycle
Step 1: Selecting the Cycle Experience
- Profile Selection: Ensure all participant profiles have been selected on the tablet.
- Select an Experience: Tap the Cycle thumbnail on the tablet to launch the experience.

- Prepare Users: Make sure users are seated comfortably in a stable chair (without wheels), headsets on, controllers in hand, and the cycle placed at a comfortable position in front of them.
Step 3: Selecting Game Settings

- Choose a Game Mode: Rendever Fit offers three modes—Touch Pop, Target Practice, and Free Ride.

- Touch Pop: Pedal through environments, using their hands to pop colored balloons. Users and given colored hands that must be used to pop matching colored balloons for an extra challenge.
- Target Practice: Similar to Touch Pop, but users shoot virtual lasers to pop balloons scattered in the environment, using the trigger buttons on their controllers.
- Free Ride: Enjoy a leisurely ride in any of the selected environments without goals or time constraints.

- Choose Your Environment:

- For Normal experiences choose between fixed environments like Pine Valley, Lighthouse, and Yellow Rock

- For the Infinite Boardwalk, select a goal by setting either the Distance or Time for the session. The environment will persist for as long as you have specified!

Step 4: Adjusting Game Difficulty
- Cognitive and Physical Difficulty: Adjust the difficulty settings to increase the cognitive challenge (more balloons to pop) or the physical challenge (greater distance between balloons).

- Tip: Start with easier difficulty settings before advancing to harder levels.
Step 5: Tension Control
- Adjust Tension: Use the slider on the tablet to match the tension setting on the cycle’s adjustment lever. It’s recommended to start with lower tension for new participants and gradually increase as they become more comfortable.
- Confirm Settings: After adjusting the tension, press Confirm to return to the game settings.

Step 6: Starting the Race
- Ready to Ride: Once all settings are configured, hit the Confirm button on to begin.

- Tap "Ready!" to bring the headsets to the Racetrack! Users can get acclimated to the virtual environment before the race begins.

Step 7: During the Race

- Once you have been taken to the Racetrack, the race will not start until you select "Start Game"
- Once started participants can begin cycling!
- Your view point will be the same as the user you have selected, allowing you to share their point of view. You can choose to spectate the view on any of the participants that are in the session.
- You can track the information about the racer you have selected. You have access to
- RPM (speed of their cycling)
- Distance traveled
- Balloons Popped
- You can also set up the racer to move automatically at a certain speed, if they do not wish to cycle by selecting Constant Speed, and then the speed you would like them to move at.

Step 8: After the Race

- After the race is finished, participants shown on podiums, the highest being the person who came in first place
- You can click on each user to see the summary of their performance during the race
- You can then restart the race or Change your settings, depending on your preference.
What do the Headset Users See?
Before the Race
- While you are in the Game Settings section of Cycle, headset users will be sent to a relaxing meadow, where they can practice popping balloons with their laser blasters, by clicking the triggers on their controllers, similar to the Target Practice game mode

Touch Pop
- Once you have entered a Touch Pop race, users will be shown the rules of the game. They must pop blue balloons with their left hand and red balloons with their right hand
- Purple can be popped with either hand
- Make sure they are holding on tight to their controllers!

- Both cycle speed and balloons pop account for the final score.

Target Practice
- Target practice is significantly more difficult and requires users to aim and shoot balloons from the sky

- Pressing the trigger down, located on the opposite side of the buttons on the controller will shoot the lasers
- Holding down the white button on side with their middle finger will give them a laser site, making the balloons easier to shoot. Hold down this button while firing with the index finger, is the easiest way to play
- Total score will once again be a mixture of balloons popped and speed.
Paddle
Paddle is designed to help users improve their hand-eye coordination and accuracy through target practice on a remote island. Over time, participants can celebrate their progress and track their ranks on a global leaderboard.
How to Use Paddle
Step 1: Safety Check
- Clear the Area: Before starting the activity, make sure the area around each participant is clear of obstructions and obstacles.
- Check the Chair: Ensure that users are seated in a secure chair that won’t move or tip over as they engage in the experience.
- Environmental Awareness: This activity involves swinging and reaching. Facilitators should closely monitor the environment to prevent accidents.
Step 2: Starting the Paddle Experience
- Select the Experience: On the tablet, tap the Paddle thumbnail to launch the experience.

- Begin the Session: Once the experience is selected, press Get Started to initiate the activity.
Step 3: Choosing Difficulty Level
- Difficulty Selection: Choose the difficulty level by pressing the corresponding thumbnail. We recommend starting with Easy for first-time users.

- Start the Experience: Once the difficulty is selected, press the Start button to begin.
- Tip: While facilitators are selecting the difficulty, users can practice their swing by hitting a virtual ball through a white target.

Step 4: Engaging with the Paddle Experience

- Use the Virtual Paddle: Once the experience starts, users will use their virtual paddles to hit the balls towards targets in the environment.
- Hitting the colored balls into the matching colored targets, yields extra points
- Users can compete for high scores, and earn their place on the leaderboard!
- Hitting the trigger button will make the balls come out at will

- Encourage Interaction: Remind users to look around in the VR environment to see other participants and share the experience.
- Tip: Slowly introduce first-time users to the experience to help them get comfortable with the technology before increasing the difficulty.
- Use the Virtual Paddle: Once the experience starts, users will use their virtual paddles to hit the balls towards targets in the environment.
Step 4: Tracking Points
- Scores will accumulate as a user hits the balls into the targets.
- Users can look to the right to see the leaderboard of users

Paint
The Paint e allows users to create artwork in a shared virtual space. Participants can paint in various environments using a range of brushes and colors. Facilitators can manage the session through the tablet, giving users the ability to focus solely on their art.
How to Use Paint
Step 1: Starting the Paint Experience
- Select the Experience: On the tablet, tap the Paint thumbnail to launch the experience.

- Begin the Session: Press Get Started to begin.
Step 2: Choosing an Environment
- Select an Environment: Paint offers four distinct environments for participants to start creating:
- Standard
- Space
- Dress
- Snowman

- Start the Session: Once you’ve selected an environment, press Start to begin.
- Users can immediately begin painting by pressing the trigger button on their controller, behind the buttons on the back of the controller.
- When in Paint for the first time, you will be walked through the controls

Step 3: Understanding Tablet Controls
Facilitators have a range of controls available on the tablet to manage the session. Click on the question mark (?) next to the RendeverFit Paint name, to get a walkthrough of the controls inside the tablet!
NOTE: Make sure you have the user you want selected before changing any of the following options for them.

- Return to Home: Press this button at any time to return users to the home screen and the waiting room environment.
- User Selection: Allows facilitators to select specific users to see from their point of view. Selecting a user is required before changing any of their brush or user settings.
- Clear Canvas: Press this button to clear all designs and start fresh on the virtual canvas.
- Set Left/Right Handed: This option allows facilitators to switch a user’s painting hand between left and right.
- Show/Hide Brushes: Change the brush shape for the users, removing the need for them to make these adjustments in VR.
- Show/Hide Colors: Change the paint color for users, removing the need for them to choose in the VR environment.
- Show/Hide Sketchbook: The sketchbook stores users’ sketches for later continuation or sharing with the community.
- Show VR Control: This option gives users more control over their experience, allowing them to change brushes, colors, and tools (including the eraser).
- Show/Hide Backdrop: Modify the environment’s color and fog density to adjust the backdrop for the painting.
Step 4: Selecting Brushes
- Press on Show Colors to bring up the brush menu. Selecting a brush will assign it to the user you have selected.


- An eraser is selectable at the bottom of the list, that will allow users to delete paint strokes they have added.

- Use the circle at the end of the brush, and touch the stroke you wish to delete, than press the trigger to delete the stroke.

Step 5: Changing brush colors
- Press Show Colors to bring up the color picker, selecting a color will change your current brush to that color

Step 6: Saving Sketches
- Paintings can be saved by selecting Show Sketchbook

- Selecting the sketch will open up that Paintings again at any time, allowing for users to continue their progress.
